The evaluation system:

During a course of a semester, students are evaluated in the following manner:

• surveilled exams (les ds): these tests are conducted in the middle of the semester over a full week (generally two exams per day).

• For each subject (with the exception of programming), Students are required to sit for 2 written tests:

• end of semester exams (les examens): these tests are conducted at the end of each semester over a week and a half.

In the case of the programming subject, as shown in the plannings, students are required to sit for only one written exam at the end of each semester.

• few subjects include practical work (TP) sessions, and each student is assigned a practical work grade.
  • Some subjects (programming and electronics) include a practical work exam therefore, the grade is assigned based on:
    • A practical exam
    • The submitted reports (les comptes rendus)
  • the rest of the subjects don’t include a practical test, so the grade is assigned based only on the reports (les comptes rendus).

*how is the average of each subject calculated ?*

• the average of subjects that include practical work sessions (except programming) is calculated in the following manner:

    **average=0.25*ds grade+0.25*TP grade+0.5*exam grade**
